7 Weeks Post Partum

Just popping in to post a quick photo. I am still getting very little time and dealing with a fiesty 5 year old and a very tempermental 7 week old. R is growing like a weed (11 lbs+ at 7 wks) but is quite fussy and we continue to try to seek ways to alleviate it.

I will pop in occasionally and update, and eventually document a bit more about my preeclampsia free pregnancy. Sometimes it is still hard to believe we avoided it, given how bad the first pregnancy was.

  3. As a recent follower and mother of a 10 month old preemie (28wks) to preeclampsia, I anxiously await your post about your "preeclampsia free pregnancy" as I can only hope I could experience that in my future!

  4. Hi T,

Just popping in to see if there was an update :) I'm glad you're doing well, and I can completely relate to the fussy baby situation and just keep telling myself "it won't be forever"

  5. hey tiffany... i can't beleive i found u! thanks so much for posting your experience with pre eclampcia... my health situation is identical to yours, altough my exprience was more horrific and tragedic.. my baby died at 28weeks and 5 days due to severe pre-eclampcia.. it was my first pregnancy, i was discharged from the hospital several hours after giving stillbirth only to return to the ER after my baby's funeral with severe pre eclampcia and hellp syndrome.. i guess u mostly felt what i feel and were shocked just like i was..

i desprately need your advice.. pleaaaaase help me tiffany! i lost my baby on june 6th, 2010.. currently i have chronic hypertension and being treated for it (methyldopa @150 mg taken 3 times daily) and i am waiting for my blood test results to return.. my life is torn apart and my motherhood is scarred for life.. my husband and i are going in different directions with our lives.. he wants me to be the same dina he met and fell in love with back in college.. but i am not the same person anymore. i am haunted by pre eclampcia and what it did to me, my baby and what it could do my next baby.. i can't wait to get pregnant again yet i am terrified of going through another tradedy.. i lost some of my baby weight yet i am gaining it all back.. please email me at vanillasaleem@hotmail.com i need help.. thanks

  6. Hello Tiffany! I name is Valerie, and I am a volunteer with preeclampsia.org. We're currently compiling a contact list (NOT for solicitations), and we were wondering if we could add your email address. If so, you can email me at valeriereinhard@gmail.com, and I'll add you!

By the way, I love your blog. I had severe preeclampsia/HELLP syndrome with my first baby, and knew nothing at all of the disease until I was horribly sick in the hospital. Thanks so much for sharing your story; I am always very interested to read other people's experiences with it. I'll definitely be back to read more! :-)

  7. Oh, and I wanted to mention that I just had my second baby 8 weeks ago, with NO preeclampsia! Doesn't it feel great to get through without that horrible complication? I was so incredibly grateful!
